  10. Hi Benzu,

Your articles are really usefull and very informative. I am not from the construction or architecture background, but I was looking for website which can give me basic information about constructing the house and also about various terms used in construction. You have done excellent work by explaining each concepts in simple words. Thank you.
I have one question. I own a old house which is 15 years old brick house, which is in good condition(ground floor only). Now I want to construct duplex over it. Since it old house and there are no columns, how do I proceed and what should be taken care before constructing over it. I have seen couple of old house which use steel beam for extension. Is that the way I should be looking at??

    Thanks in advance.
